I was in hospital for an operation last year the young nurse asked my religion I said Spiritulist..she replied I love things like that and all the nurses wanted a psychic reading and I was treated like a Queen.So the moral of this is people are changing, religion is not what it used to be, and that can only be for the good

It is just a huge generalization. So if people have bad experiences with Pagans or hear bad things about Pagans, they generalize to all. So the best course of action in my experience is to either be very specific, or be very vague. It depends on how much conversation you want to have. If I don't feel like discussing it, I say I'm agnostic, if I feel like having a conversation, I say I'm a NeoHellenic Polytheist.

In reality, it's nobody's business what religion you are and it's bad manners to ask unless there's a compelling reason. It's just looking for a fight. Pagans aren't the only ones who get it. Catholics and Protestants, Muslims and Jews all worship the same God and they have still managed to hate each other to varying degrees in various places and periods in history. So don't take it personally.

They get a liscence and find a qualified officiate to confirm it. The actual ritual depends on the Pagan path involved and the officiate (Priest/Priestess, etc) and the people involved. Often the ceremony is referred to as a Handfasting. My own wedding consisted of a binding of hands followed by jumping the broom. I am a pagan and just learning, (so please correct me if I say something wrong and don't take offence.) I am in a coven of 4 people as we do not have many pagans, wiccans, ect… in the small village I live in. people keep going nuts when they ask what religion I am and I say that I am pagan they freak and start telling me all these stories and they are really scaring me, what shall I do, and like I said there is no other of the magickal community that is any more expearienced than me so I have no other to turn to.

As for unlucky, the 22nd is right at the top. A couple of years ago on a 22, I got fired from my second job (they never told me a reason, either) and my car caught on fire. In one afternoon. I took it as a sign, and I try not to go anywhere on the 22 of any month anymore!

I always find that the days leading up to the full moon tend to be insane. Whenever I have a crazy day at work or one of those days when I forget, drop or trip over everything I possibly can, I think, "full moon must be coming up" and I'm always right.
