Diana
The name Diana comes from Latin divios meaning "heavenly" or "divine".
Diana is the Roman Goddess of the hunt associated with the Greek Artemis although she existed in the Italian region long before Artemis made her appearance. Like Artemis, Diana is the Goddess of the hunt, wilderness and childbirth. She is also associated with the moon and through Her, Artemis gained this association as well.
Diana is said to be the daughter of Jupiter and Latona, born on the island of Delos along with her twin brother Apollo. Her two companions are Egeria, a midwife nymph, and Virbius a woodland God.
In modern witchcraft lore, Diana bore a child, Aradia, the Queen of Witches and is an important figure in Stregheria.
