Spiritual Paths

The theme for March, 2013 is "Spiritual Paths". We are including Pagan, Heathen and all magico-religious spiritual paths as well as other paths which have influenced modern magical thought. All members of the Witchipedia are invited to take part in our theme event!

Not all Pagan or Heathen paths are magical and not all Magickal paths are Pagan! While many see Paganism and Heathenry as nearly synonymous with natural magic, this is often not the case. This month we will explore various Pagan and Heathen paths as well as other spiritual paths that are often associated with magic, whether correctly or otherwise. We will help to dispel some misunderstandings as well as share and explore various spiritual paths. This will foster understanding within the community as well as assist new seekers with their explorations.

Members of our community can participate in the following ways.

  • Take part in themed discussions in our Forums.
  • Blog about the theme on your own blog, let us know by using the comment section and Tweeting it using #witchtheme
  • Got a great source of information about the theme? A webpage, a book? Use the comments section on the theme page to tell us about it.
  • Create a new article or add to an existing article.

Below are some suggestions. You may notice that some of the paths listed here are NOT Pagan or Heathen or Magical. I have also listed paths that have influenced modern Pagan and Heathen spirituality and modern magickal thought.

Some articles exist and you are welcome to update them if you wish, to add comments, links to more information, etc. Other articles have not yet been created and anyone knowledgeable of the subject is invited to create its article. This list is not exhaustive. Please feel free to add more! If you have not written for us before, please visit the writers' guidelines page first.
